Marion S. Woodruff Jr. Obituary

Marion S. Woodruff Jr., age 89, of Liberty Township, Michigan, passed away at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Ann Arbor on August 16, 2017. He is survived by two children, Nona (Michael) Tyszko and William Woodruff; six grandchildren, Dean (Rachel) Stowers, Joshua and Andrew Stowers, Rakisha and Schshawna Tyszko and Richard (Kelsi) Tyszko and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Ethel (Jude) in 2002; daughter, Gale Stowers, and parents, Marion S. and Gertrude G. (maiden-Heinz) Woodruff Sr. He served the nation in the US Army, Korean War; was a member of the Little Vineyard Baptist Church in Easton Rapids and retired from Die Cast Corporation. The family will receive friends at the Arthur-Day Funeral Home in Michigan Center, MI on Monday, August 21, 2017, from 5:00-8:00 pm. and on Tuesday at Sydney Church in Pilgrim, Kentucky after 5:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at the Sydney Church in Pilgrim, Kentucky on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at 11:00 am with Estill Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow with Military Honors a the Jude Cemetery. Contributions in his memory are directed to, Disability Connections, 409 Linden Ave, Jackson, MI 49203. Don Stambaugh, age 80 of Sitka, Kentucky, passed away Monday, August 28, 2017 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville. Born April 29, 1937 in Johnson County, he was the son of the late Taylor Stambaugh and Ruth Brown Stambaugh. In addition to his parents, Don is preceded in death by four brothers: Eugene Stambaugh, Minnard Stambaugh, Sam Stambaugh and John Stambaugh; and one sister, Pauline Jones. He was born March 25, 1978 in Louisa, Ky., to the late Jessie Lee Bowen and Debra Goble Johnson of Inez, Ky. In addition to his father he is also preceded in death by paternal grandparents Noah and Magdalene Bowen and maternal grandparents Jack Ivan and Lavon Goble.
