Blackburn May Obituary

Blackburn May of Lenore, WV born February 10th, 1952 went home to be with the Lord on July 22nd, 2013. Blackburn was a member of the Samaria Old Regular Baptist Church located in Dingess. He was a retired carpenter. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and hunting, but most of all spending time with his loved ones.

Preceding him in death are his parents; Sherman and Florence Lackey May and four brothers; Bill, James, Thomas and Willis May.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 37 years, Patricia Ann May, his three sons; Blackburn “BJ” (Carol) May, Steven (Sabrina) May and Michael (Jessica) May and four grandchildren; Rebecca, Joseph and Alex May and Christian Mullins. He is also survived by his siblings; Ronnie (Carol) May, Wanda Moore, Ellis (Rita) May, Wilma (Clarence) White, Eunice (Bernard) Aldridge, Julius “Buck” May, Glendine (CW) Williams, Connie (Woody) Hodge, Sherman Jr. (Eva) May, seven brother and sisters in law, thirty seven nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and close friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Samaria Old Regular Baptist Church in Dingess on Thursday, July 25th at 11:00am with Albert and Tommy Dials officiating. Burial will follow at the Lackey Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church on Wednesday, July 24th after 4:00pm, with church services at 7:00pm. Arrangements are under the direction of the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, Kentucky.
