Lena Chaffins Strickland 62, of Paintsville, Kentucky formerly of Martin County passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Paul B. Hall Medical Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. She was born in Mingo County, West Virginia on September 17, 1954 to the late Aaron and Panzy Bowe Chaffins. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Lena is survived by her two children, Roger (Amanda Peterson) Mullins of Ashland, Kentucky and Paul Mullins of Paintsville, Kentucky, three grandchildren, Matthew Shane Mullins, James Thomas Mullins and Ethan Cole Mullins. She is also survived by four siblings, Brenda Hawthorne of Columbus, Ohio, Dianna Drake of Paintsville, Kentucky, Judy Chaffins and Aaron Chaffins both of Kermit, West Virginia along with a very special friend, Jackie Pierce of Paintsville, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held at the Callaham Funeral Home in Inez, Kentucky on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 1:00pm with Rodney Brown officiating. Burial will follow at the Brown Cemetery in Beauty, Kentucky. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday, August 21, 2017 from 6:00-9:00pm. In lieu of flowers the family ask that contributions funeral home to assist with the funeral cost.
