Benny Fleming Obituary

Bennie Fleming 65 of Wilsondale, WV passed away on Friday, August 30, 2013 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born on June 9, 1948 at NewGround Hollow in Wilsondale, WV to the late Lora Evans Fleming and Goodlow Fleming of Wilsondale, WV. He was a coal miner and a US Army Veteran as well as a devoted Father and Grandfather. Bennie was a an avid Kentucky Wildcats and Cincinnati Reds fan. He was also preceded in death by his 2 brothers, Sherman Franklin Fleming of Wilsondale, WV, Ray Fleming of Wilsondale, WV and 1 sisters, Faye Tatro of Tampa, Fl.

He is survived by his life companion, Cathy Perry of Huntington, WV as well as 2 daughters, Machelle (Darrin) McCormick of Williamson, WV and Teresa (Tony) Taylor of Hurricane, WV as well as 3 grandsons and 1 grand-daughter, Jarrid and Seann McCormick of Williamson, WV, Carson Taylor and MacKenzie Taylor both of Hurricane, WV. Bennie also leaves behind 1 brother, John P. (Patricia) Fleming as well as his sisters, Berta Gail Fleming (Freelin) and Blaze Starr of Wilsondale, WV as well as Debbie (Bob) Buskell of Baltimore, MD, Mary Davis (Donnie) of Jacksonville, Fl, Betty Sharader of Linebora, MD, and Judy (Richard) Maynard of Avon, OH. Bennie is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews all of whom he considered special as well as special friends Larry (Betsy) Newsome of Wilsondale, WV.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, September 2, 2013 at the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Warfield, KY at 1:00pm with Robbie May officiating. Burial will take place at his home place on a knoll in Wilsondale, WV. Visitation will be from 6-9pm on Sunday at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, KY.
