Gary McFaddin, age 73 of Hager Hill passed away Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Mountain Manor Nursing Home in Paintsville. Born June 7, 1940 in Johnson County to the late George McFaddin and Kandie Tackett McFaddin. Gary is preceded in death by his wife, Lucille McFaddin who passed away June 29, 2004. He is survived by two sons, Gary McFaddin of Georgetown, Brian McFaddin of Nicholasville; two daughters, Gari Howard of Columbia, SC, Jessie Trimble of Staffordsville; two brothers, Howard McFaddin of Thelma, Phillip McFaddin of Paintsville; one sister, Hazel McKenzie of Hager Hill and five grandchildren also survive.

Manuel Tackett, age 64 of Oil Springs, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Paul B. Hall in Paintsville. Born March 29, 1949 in Johnson County, he was the son of the late Harvey and Emma Jean Vanhoose Tackett. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Frank Tackett. He is survived by his wife, Linda Trusty Tackett; and one step son, James Lemaster of Riceville.
