Linda Jean Kearbey Gauze, 62 of Inez, Kentucky formerly of Parma, Michigan passed away July 22nd, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. She was under the loving care of Dr. Lon Lafferty and staff and Community Hospice. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 10th, 1951 to Frank and Leola (Blair) Clowes. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles. She is survived by her former husband and companion, Claude Ray Gauze, children; Andrea (Robert) Helton of Inez, Kentucky, Robin (Marvin) Brown of Jasper, MI, Paula (Reggie Johnson) Kearbey of Inez, Kentucky, step-children; Robin (Pete Scruton) Stannard, Ray (Diana) Gauze and Beverly Gauze, grandchildren; Cody Casondra, Natasha, Jordan Kearbey, Shaina Melton, Kylee Beals and Cadence Helton all of Inez, Kentucky, Aleighya Brown of Jasper, MI, Alish Dye, Shyanne Stannard and Kyle Scruton, eight step-grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings; Lucille (Wayne) Parsons of Pontiac, MI, Patricia Galford of Oxford, MI and Todd Clowes of Pilgrim, Kentucky, one aunt, Georgia Shepherd of Grass Lake, MI and one uncle, Leroy Vreeland of Jackson, MI.
Due to her loving nature and compassionate heart she opened up her home to 26 children. She was a volunteer for Region II Community Action Agency in Jackson, MI for many years. Visitation will be held at the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home in Inez, Kentucky on Thursday, July 25th from 1-3pm and 6-9pm. Funeral services will also be held at the funeral home on Friday, July 26th at 4pm. A dinner will be held in Parma, MI at the Parma United Methodist church on Saturday, August 3rd from 3-6pm. All family and Friends are welcome. Arrangements are under the direction of the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, Kentucky.
