Norma Jude Chafins Dempsey, 91 of Warfield, Kentucky went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 25th, 2013 at her home. Norma was born in Martin County, Kentucky on December 3rd, 1922 to the late Bennie Jude and Isabelle Blankenship Jude.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband; Auriel Chafins, second husband; Walter Dempsey and two brothers; Roscoe Jude and Wilburn Jude. Norma is survived by three nephews; Moses Clay Jude, Don Morris Jude and Ray Jude and two nieces; Patsy Shannon McCoy and Nellie Corns.
Norma was a teacher for the Martin County School Board and retired in 1974 after 33 years of teaching. She was also a faithful member of the Bethel United Baptist Church in Inez.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 27th at 11:00am at the Wafield Chapel of the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home in Warfield, Kentucky with Darrell Combs officiating. Friends may visit at the chapel on Friday, July 26th from 5:00-9:00pm. Burial will follow at the Warfield Cemetery in Warfield, Kentucky. Arrangements are under the direction of the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, Kentucky.
