Cornerstone Christian Counseling Louisa, Inc. would like to extend our sincerest gratitude for your financial support over the past year. Since our move to this new location in March 2014. Since January 2014, we have served over 227 clients. Some clients have come as far away as Pikeville Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia to seek Christian counseling that truly is Christ centered. We are proud of your continued donations as none of our counselors receive a salary. We try and pay some expenses when possible, and as you may already know we are an AODE licensed state entity for Alcohol other Drug Entity since 2013. Now we are a BHSO licensed by the state as a Behavior Health Service Organization. Our CARF program certification is in process starting this month. That is why as a counselor at Cornerstone Christian Counseling Louisa Inc. I feel it is important to let you know what is going on in our community and surrounding area. Addiction is real and we reach out every day to those in need whether they have insurance for treatment or not. As a ministry we help whoever comes to us in need. We apply the principle of the Holy Bible and Jesus is the heart of what we all do here at CCCL. We accept donation and grants and no amount is too small, as God takes what is given and blesses it for his will to be done.
We are now setting our sights on expansion. We have participated with Celebrate Recovery Program that stated in July 2015 at First Baptist Church Louisa and refer all suboxone clients for group support with that expanding program run by Lynette and Paul Miller. Wonderful couple and great organization to be associated. While the BHSO is great and important we are in need of funding for the cost of the program to be accredited. To be effective in our local area and surrounding area we need your support. We are the only totally Christian Counseling Center in the area. God has meet our needs as we have grown since 2006 and when we incorporated in 2012 we completed all of our board of directions goals in that year. A recent survey revealed that more addiction then ever in our area and there are shortage of trained Christian counselors to work in this field. We also train and God equips our CCCL counselors for this type of work. We work with all the local health services including physicals’ to schools to bring awareness and prevention to our adults and children. The lack of funding to help more not only negatively impacts physical development, but also emotional and educational health.
