Phillip R. Hunt 68, of Inez, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2017, at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky. He was born Martin County, Kentucky on September 5, 1948, to the late Joseph and Ada Luster Hunt. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by five siblings, Lundy Bruce Hunt, James Michael Hunt, Joseph Hunt Jr., Gary Thomas Hunt and Sandra Carol Maynard.
Phillip is survived by his wife, Betty Hunt, two sons, Steven Ray Hunt of Kermit, West Virginia and Roger Dean Hunt of Lenore, West Virginia and two grandchildren, Lauren Ferris and Ashton Hunt. He is also survived by three siblings, Vondene Hunt, Vicky Spence both of Inez, Kentucky and Rita Kay Wright of Lynchburg, Virginia.
Funeral services will be held at the Callaham Funeral Home in Inez, Kentucky on Sunday, July 30, 2017, at 2:00 pm with Kenneth Gore officiating. Burial will follow at the Newsome Ridge Cemetery in Kermit, West Virginia. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday, July 28, 2017, and Saturday from 6:00-9:00 pm. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, Kentucky.
