LOUISA The Kentucky State Police have arrested and charged a Martin County resident with two counts of murder after a shooting in Lawrence County.
Elden Shannon Muncy, age 21, of 4701 Buffalo Horn in Martin County is lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center, according to police.
Amanda Hall was a promising high school student in Martin County who found herself addicted to opioids after pain from a car wreck led her to a hydrocodone prescription. By age 18, she was getting arrested for public intoxication. A few years after that, in 2010, Hall graduated to non-violent drug-related felonies and went to prison.
John Allen, 46, of Martin, Ky., theft by deception, theft by unlawful taking and being a persistent felony offender; Michelle L. Allen, 43, of Martin, Ky., theft by deception, theft by unlawful taking and being a persistent felony offender; Chris Damron, Elkhorn City, Ky., theft by unlawful taking; Gregory Blake Hackney, 50, of Steele, Ky., operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants, wanton endangerment and fourth-degree assault.
Delilah S. Horn, 59, of Inez, Ky., theft by unlawful taking; James D. Lawson, 52, of Varney, Ky., theft by unlawful taking, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, fleeing or evading police and being a persistent felony offender; Nathaniel Lester, 29, of Steele, Ky., receiving stolen property; Jessica Denise Maynard, 30, of Williamson, theft by unlawful taking.
