As Father Beiting Appalachian Mission Centers outreach programs continue to expand I’m very proud and pleased to announce the Point of Hope program has recently achieved state licensure as an Alcohol and Other Drug Education (AODE) outpatient therapy program license # 810378 with the Kentucky Department of Health and Family Services. We are so excited!! This is a major milestone for our transitional housing and recovery program. Our staff has worked diligently to make this happen.

Our Guardian Angels emergency housing facility is scheduled to be open and operating by December 21st. The facility is geared towards assisting residents of Lawrence and Martin Counties in Kentucky and Wayne County in West Virginia. The length of stay will be from one week to one month. This program will be offered to those of have lost their homes due to fire etc. We will continue to transport transients to the Huntington City Mission Center.

As the Christmas Season is quickly approaching I ask for your continued prayers and support. We will be providing Christmas food baskets to approximately 500 families throughout Lawrence County KY. and Wayne County WV. this year. We will also be providing food to over 30 non-profit service organizations for Christmas Distribution throughout our remaining service area. Martin County residents may contact Will Ruthven, executive director of Appalachia Reach-Out to sign-up to receive a Christmas Food Basket at (606) 298-7470. If feel the Lord calling and you’d like to help us in any way with our Christmas distribution, you may visit our website to make a monetary donation or you may call Dominic Capria, director of operations at (606) 638-0219 to make a material donation of food and/or toys. If you’d like to donate your time to assist us with the distribution you may contact Cindy Capria, volunteer coordinator also at (606) 638-0219. Your financial support and prayers are always much appreciated.

Blessings to you all,
