William Jason Perry 33, of Kermit, WV; passed away on Monday, October 17, 2011 at 12 Pole Creek, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born on October 14, 1978 in Logan, WV; he was a son of Albert Perry of Dunlow, WV and Peggy S. Perry of Kermit, WV. He worked for a construction company in Cleveland, OH.

William is survived by his parents and step-mother, Minerva Perry of Dunlow, WV as well as a fiance; Jennifer Legg of Cleveland, OH as well as a daughter, Samantha Marcum of Lenore, WV; brothers; Clayton Perry and Norman Perry both of Breeden, WV, and sisters; Tessa Perry of Breeden, WV, Rosella Whitt of Marrowbone, WV, and Alma Jean Marcum of Kermit, WV. Jason is also survived by his 2 step-sisters, Crystal Gillman of Kermit, WV and Trina Baoha of Wayne County, WV. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

William’s funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 1:00pm at the Zion Church of Breeden, WV with Phillip Stroud officiating. Burial will follow in the General Perry Cemetery of Breeden, WV and visitation will be after 2pm on Wednesday at the church. Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home of Inez, KY is caring for the arrangements of William Jason Perry.

Aiden Maveric Preston 9 days old, passed away October 14th, 2011 at U.K. Childrens Hospital. Aiden was the son of William Eric and Brittany Preston of Inez and the twin brother to Sadie Preston. Also surviving are his maternal grandparents Clisten and Sadie Jude, paternal grandparents Kathy Maynard and William Preston and a host of aunts, uncles, cousin, family and friends. Funeral services will be Noon Wednesday at the Richardson Chapel  with visiting after 5pm Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in the Jude Cemetery on Lost Creek in Ulysses. Phelps and Son Funeral Home of Inez are in charge of arrangements.

Vinna Stacy, age 83 of Warfield, passed away Monday, October 10, 2011 at her home. Born July 9, 1928 in Martin County, she was the daughter of the late George and Easter Fletcher Jude. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Stacy; children, Lacy Stacy, Mary Glendean Stacy and David Eugene Stacy. She is survived by her children, George Robert (Oretha) Stacy of Whitehouse, Easter Staton of Warfield and the late (Jessie Maynard), Jeff (Joyce) Stacy of Whitehouse, James (Ellen) Stacy of Paintsville, Lillie and the late (Lonnie) Reed of Hode, John (Della) Stacy of Warfield, Danny (Sandra) Stacy of Somerset, Billy (Rodella) Stacy of Warfield, Bobby (Oscar) McCoy of Blaine, Jeffery (Kathy) Stacy of Inez; thirty-eight grandchildren and forty great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11AM Thursday,October 13, 2011 at the Sidney Old Regular Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Stacy Family Cemetery at Warfield. Kenneth B. Jude, Dewey Jude and Albert Cable will officiate. Friends may visit the church after 5PM Tuesday and all day Wednesday. Arrangements are by the Phelps & Son Funeral Home, Inez.

Jonah Sartin, age 70 of Pilgrim, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2011 at his home.  Born August 10, 1941 in Martin County, he was the son of the late William Willis and Elkie Williamson Sartin.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Ricky Sartin; and a sister, Betty Howell.  He is survived by two sons, Jason Sartin of LaSalle, Illinois and Joel Sartin of Standard, Illinois; and six grandchildren, Ricky Lee, Hayden, Dominic, Giannia, Lena and Erin Sartin.

At the request of Jonah, there will be no visitation or funeral.
