Marshall Maynard 76 of Tomahawk, KY; passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, KY. He was born on May 14, 1935 in Martin County; he was a son of the late Lacy and Mahalia (Haley) Pack Maynard. He was a retired security guard for Martiki Coal Company. He was of the United Baptist Faith.
Marshall is survived by his wife; Geraldine Grimsley Maynard as well as step children: Patty Grace Evans and Edith Grimsley and several step grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters; Gladys Harmon of Warfield, KY and Mary Elizabeth Moore of Lovely, KY.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at 1:00pm at the Pack Bottom United Baptist Church with Lonnie Ratliff officiating. Burial will follow in the Webb Cemetery of Milo, KY. Visitation will after 6pm Monday and all day Tuesday at the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Inez Chapel and the body will lie instate one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the Church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.

Brother Leonard (Holly) Marcum, 60 of Marrowbone Creek, WV; went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. He was born on August 20, 1950 in West Virginia; he was a son of the late Howard and Thelma Rose Marcum. Holly was a faithful member and deacon of the Neeley Branch United Baptist Church. He was a supervisor for Lee Sartin Trucking.
He is survived by his wife; Barbara (Williams) Marcum and three children; Howard “Spanky” (Miranda) Marcum of Kermit, WV, Bryan (Alicia) of Kermit, WV, and Lorene (Eddie) Hinkle of Beauty, KY as well as 4 grandchildren; Makayla Marcum, Jacob Marcum, Brennen Marcum, and Hillary Marcum all of whom he loved dearly. He is also survived by 9 brothers and sisters; Laura Bell Marcum of Kermit, WV, Hazel Jude of Albany, OH, Bodie (Darlene) Marcum, Kermit, WV, Julius (Judy) Marcum of Kermit, VW, Jeannie (Lewis) Workman of Circleville, OH, Troy (Brenda) Marcum of Mt. Sterling, OH, Rita Church of Columbus, OH, Darlene (Pat) Blevins of Baltimore, OH, Ferbie (Darrell) Phillips of Columbus, OH. He was loved by many and will be sadly missed.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at the Neeley Branch United Baptist Church of Marrowbone Creek, WV with Pastor Russell Ball and Michael Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Newsome Ridge Cemetery of Naugatuck, WV. Visitation will be after 5pm Monday at the church. Arrangements are under the care of the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, KY.

Alma Faye Hinkle age 60 of Inez, passed away Sunday, July 31,2011. Born December 22,1950 to the late Jessie and Polly Mills Crum. Surviving are one son, Thomas Hinkle of Tennessee; one daughter, Mistie Hinkle Auterson of Morehead Ky; one brother, James L. Hinkle of Inez; four sisters, Marcella Crum of Inez, Ethel Perry of Coco Florida, Joyce Bowen of Ohio and Glenedith Spurlock of WV and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday, in the Chapel of Phelps & Son Funeral Home of Inez. Kevin Davis will officiate. Burial will follow in the Crum, Mills, Horn Cemetery of Inez. Visitation will be after 5 PM Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Arrangements by the Phelps & Son Funeral Home of Inez.
Joseph Marcum age 66 of Kermit, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2011. Born January 27, 1945 to the late Joe Marcum and Rosa Parsley. Surviving are his wife, Sandra Hensley Marcum; three sons, Johnny ( Tammy ) Marcum, Joseph Marcum Jr. and Clint Marcum all of Kermit; three daughter; Diana Parsley, Crystal Marcum and Michelle Marcum all of Kermit; three brothers, Lewis Marcum, Gene Marcum and Lyle Marcum all of Kermit; five sisters, Daisy Fields, Ellen Horn , Ruth Smith, and Darlene Messer all of Kermit, Tennie Lawrence of Charleston WV; eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive
Funeral services will be 2 PM Wednesday, at the Jenny’s Creek Gospel Church in Kermit, with burial to follow in the Fitzpatrick Cemetery on Marrowbone. Eugene Marcum will be officiating. Visitation will be after 4 PM Monday, all day Tuesday and until time of service on Wednesday at the church. Arrangements by the Phelps & Son Funeral Home of Inez.
